Job Title: Locum Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology, Oncology
Location: Nacogdoches, TX 75965
EMR: Cerner
Practice Setting: Outpatient
Coverage: Call Only
Board Status: Eligible

Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized medical care in Hematology and Oncology to patients in an outpatient setting.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies as needed.
Develop and manage treatment plans, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other appropriate interventions.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered care.
Participate in on-call coverage as specified in the schedule.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system (Cerner).
Stay current with the latest developments in Hematology and Oncology through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Board eligibility in Internal Medicine with a focus on Hematology and Oncology.
Active and unrestricted Texas medical license.
Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare team.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records, specifically Cerner.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
