Hem/Onc Physician needed in VA

Job description

• Coverage needed per month: Clinic coverage only; 8-10 hours/day; 4-5 days/week for duration of 3 months.
-Work Details:
• Support staff: 4 APPs; 2 Oncology RNs; 8 Infusion RNs; 4 MA/LPN; 2 Clinical Pharmacists; Social Worker, Dietician, Navigators, Front Office Schedulers; Nurse Educator, Financial Counselors, Research Nurse, On-site Lab.
• Department Description: 1 Full-Time Medical Oncologist/Hematologist; 1 Full-Time Medical Oncologists/Infectious Disease Specialist; 4 APPs
• Patient Age Group: >18 y/o
• EMR/Documentation System: Epic/Beacon
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: solid tumors and malignant hems. We see A LOT of simple hems as well such as iron deficiency anemia, etc. Bone marrow transplants are typically sent to tertiary centers, no bone marrow biopsies in clinic.
-Requirements:
• Board Certified in Hem/Onc
• Active Virginia license
• Certifications: BLS
• DEA Req’d?: Virginia
• Minimum Experience Req’d: 2 years
-Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: Emergency privileges will be requested

• Active VA license required
