Locum Hospitalist needed in South Carolina

Rate: Hourly
LOA: Start around March 30-31st, 7on/off, ongoing need
Qualifications: Board Eligible or Board Certified – Internal Medicine
Licensing: Active South Carolina Medical License, Active CSR, DEA that can be permanently registered in the state of South Carolina

Assignment Details:
-Seeking full time (7on/7off) coverage beginning either March 31st or April 1st. Orientation will either be March 30th or March 31st
-Hospitalist is expected to be onsite from 7a-7p
-Schedule cycle runs Tuesday – Monday; 7on/7off
-Call alternates every other day/night and lasts for 24 hours 7a-7p (except on Mondays)
One of the physicians coming in on Tuesday will take over call that Monday evening at 7pm and they will cover call until Tuesday morning at 7am (which is when the other Physician coming on will take over), then the 24-hour alternating call cycle begins until the following Monday evening.
Physician on call handles all admissions from ED and handles calls on patients from the floor.
Average daily census for the hospitalist service is 21 patients, and there are 2 hospitalists that work at a time; therefore, each hospitalist averages anywhere from 10-22 PPD.
There are no APPs
Open ICU (6 ICU beds). Procedures would be a nice plus but is not required. However, Hospitalists do need to read EKGs and do stress tests.
