Primary Care Certified Nurse Practitioner in Maricopa, AZ

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Our Nurse Practitioners plan, direct, and evaluate patient and employee healthcare in an ambulatory setting; examine and treat chronic and acute episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries/illnesses; performs selected laboratory testing; offers referrals to outside physicians and facilities, writes prescriptions, and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment. Our Nurse Practitioners also work with the medical director in the care and treatment of patients and staff.

Meets new and existing ambulatory patients in the clinic for examination, diagnosis, and development of patient care plans based on the patient’s medical history.
Administering diagnostic tests.
Refers to outside physicians and facilities as needed.
Writes prescriptions and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
Performs physical examinations (PAP and Well Woman exams, DOT physicals, etc.).
Follows patients in clinic as needed for continuity of care.
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Enforces all policies, procedures, protocols, directives and goals of the organization.

Education and Experience:
Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
APN authorization in the state where employed to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners.
A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
Prescriptive authorization.
Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
Proficient in charting and completing tasks in an EMR system. eClinicalWorks experience a plus.

  • Base Pay: $125,000 - $135,000 per year. Potential to earn over $20,000 in bonuses each year under a performance based quarterly bonus structure.
  • 6 weeks of PTO, inclusive of vacation, sick time, major holidays, and continuing medical education (CME). $500 CME stipend.
