Job description

• This role is for an ED/Hospitalist. The hospitalist must be comfortable covering ER duties.
• 24-96 hour shifts Monday-Thursday(in house)
• Coverage will be needed sporadically; when core team is unavailable due to sickness, vacation, etc.
• Annual ER Volume: 2200
• 50% of total hospital admissions received from ED
• 10% of ED patients admitted to hospital per day
• 5% of ED patients transferred per day
• Trauma level 4
• Total number of beds: 20
• There may be an NP/PA working at the same time
• ED staff responds to house codes
• No OB cases
• Credentialing timeframe: 30-90 days
• EMR: Epic
