San Antonio FP/IM Need

Job description

• Full medical care for intellectually disabled long term care patients. No physical rounds necessary on COVID positive patients, done through telemedicine.
• Seeing 25 long term care patients on two homes. Rounds by 9AM morning report. All annuals, quarterly documentation. Annual team meetings as required. Team meetings (called ISPA’s) as needed. Maintain all training requirements.
• Approximately one weeknight/ week at home call. Around one weekend/month with some on campus time required if individuals are post hospital/ER or acutely ill.
• Monday through Friday
• 8a-5p
• Must have DEA, NPI and CPR/BLS
• EMR is IRIS
• Must be a BC/BE physician licensed in the State of Texas
• Must have current Texas license with no history of sanctions by the Medical Board
• Provides direct patient care, medical assessments and treatment, face to face evaluations, responds to all emergency calls and provides on-call duties as assigned by Clinical Director
• American Heart Association – approved course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification while providing services at the Facility.
