Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Cardiology NP to join a high-acuity Heart Failure inpatient service in Northeast Illinois. This opportunity offers full-time night shift coverage providing care for complex transplant and heart failure patients.

Assignment Details
-Start Date: November 2025
-Contract Length: 3 months
-Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
-Shift Options: 4x10s (preferred) or 3x12s
-Schedule: Mon–Sun | 8p–6a (10 hr) or 6p–6a (12 hr)

Work Details
-Patient Population: Adult/Geriatric
-Average Census: ~15 patients per shift
-Department: Heart Failure Inpatient Services (floor only, no ICU)
-Support Staff: Full support — RNs, techs, admin, heart failure physicians
-EMR: Epic

Skills Required:
-Transplant or immunosuppression experience (any transplant, not just heart)
-Strong cardiac background preferred
-Experience managing: post-transplant patients, high-dose inotropes, re-admissions with heart issues, and patients awaiting transplant

Practice Setting
-Hospital

Requirements
-Board Certification: Required (NP)
-State License: Active IL license required
-CSR & DEA: Required
-Certifications: BLS, ACLS
-Experience: 2+ years preferred
