Contract Length: 3 months
Shift Details: 5 to 8 shifts per month plus night and weekend call rotation. Night call is from 5p-7a and has about a 25% call back ratio, weekend call is from 5p Friday night to 7a Monday with similar 25% call back ratio. Prefer 2 blocks of shifts per month or sporadic coverage days to help with days off. Would prefer NOT to consider one long block of coverage.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-5:30p with unpaid lunch
Work Details:
• Support staff: nursing staff, techs, APP
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 5 to 8 shifts, prefer it not be in one block
• Patients per day: average of 2-4 cases per day
• Patient population/age: 18+
• Department description: Cardiology
• EMR: EPIC
• Hospital bed size: 550
• Special procedures: right and left heart cath, coronary angiogram, coronary interventions, some arm work, a lot of lower extremity work, they also do chronic total inclusions and high risk PCI with impella support but may not ask locums to do that depending on skillset/experience. They do not do any veins.
• Skills required: in addition to the procedures they are really looking for someone with great communication skills that is comfortable working independently but can work very well in a collaborative environment (a great team player!). A warm personality is important to them as well as someone who vibes well with the nurses and support staff. They also have residents so someone who would be comfortable having a trainee with them is important too. Please note, this is not a super busy department, but their cases are very complex and require someone who can deal with stressful situations with grace, remain calm in the lab, communicate what they need, and collaborate well with the inpatient provider. They are looking for someone to come in and be part of the team.

• Board Certification: Yes must be board certified and fellowship trained in interventional cardiology
• State license required: Yes

• CSR: No
• Certifications preferred:
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum experience required: Client prefers 5 years minimum due to complex patients
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
