New Opportunity Located in Southwest IL with Aya Locums: Interventional Cardiologist

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for a locum assignment at a hospital in Southwest Illinois.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Contract Length: 3 months with ongoing need through end of 2026
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Shift Details: Day shifts with call responsibilities
• Call Requirements: 1 night of call per week and 1 weekend per month (negotiable)

Work Details
• Amount of Coverage Needed: Prefer full-time (40 hours/week); will consider PRN providers
• Patient Volume: ~15 patients/day during weekdays; up to 25 on weekends
• Patient Population: All ages
• Department Description: Hospital-based cardiology service including rounding and procedures such as temporary pacemakers, cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, EKGs, echocardiograms, and STEMI management
• EMR: Epic
• Skills Required: Interventional cardiology procedures required; TEE not required but a plus

Practice Setting
• Hospital

Requirements
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible
• License: Active Illinois license required; will consider IMLC candidates
• DEA: Required
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required; no new grads
