Job description

Key Responsibilities:
Interventional cardiologists diagnose and treat various heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and peripheral vascular disease.
Minimally Invasive Procedures:
They perform procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory (cath lab) using catheters and other devices to access and treat the heart and blood vessels, such as angioplasty, stent placement, and atherectomy.
Cardiac Catheterization:
They are experts in performing cardiac catheterization, a procedure that involves inserting a thin, flexible tube (catheter) into a blood vessel and threading it to the heart to diagnose and treat conditions.
Common Procedures Performed:
Coronary Angiograms:
Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI):
Atherectomy:
Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Imaging:
Heart Valve Replacement and Repair:
Interventional cardiologists can perform procedures to repair or replace heart valves.
Cardiac Ablation:

  • 2 + years of experience
  • Monday - Thurs work schedule
  • Cases include general anesthesia
