Interventional Radiologist (with DX) | Ohio
Job description
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Commitment: Minimum 1 week per month for 6 months, with option to extend
Licensure: IMLC accepted — Letter of Qualification (LOQ) required at time of presentation
Role Overview:
Seeking a board-certified Interventional Radiologist comfortable with both procedural and general diagnostic work. The ideal candidate is versatile and willing to read from the general worklist when not performing procedures or fluoroscopy.
Modalities:
General CT, MRI, and X-ray
Interventional Radiology
Fluoroscopy
Case Mix & Volume:
Primarily inpatient and outpatient studies, with occasional STAT cases
Workflow follows an “old-to-new” order across sections (to ensure fair distribution of reads)
Typical volume: 50–70 studies per day, averaging around 50% cross-sectional imaging when not performing procedures
When performing procedures, radiologist is expected to read additional studies as able
Procedures:
Includes a variety of image-guided and fluoroscopic interventions, such as:
Abscess drainages, biopsies, chest tubes
Thyroid FNAs, lumbar punctures, myelograms
Paracentesis, thoracentesis
Nephrostomy tube exchanges/placements
Suprapubic catheter placements
Lung, liver, and kidney biopsies
PICC, port, and dialysis catheter placements
All fluoroscopy exams
Estimated Weekly Volume: ~12 IR procedures and ~10 fluoroscopy cases
