Position Overview

We are seeking a Locum Tenens Interventional Radiologist to provide on-site procedural coverage. This opportunity is ideal for providers looking for consistent, recurring locums work with a predictable weekday schedule.

Schedule & Hours

Monday – Friday

7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

No routine weekend call (call is not typical for locums providers at this time)

Expected Case Volume

Volume varies by day and procedure type

Typically 5–12 procedures per 10-hour day

Scope of Practice

The role includes a mix of biopsy and Vascular & Interventional Radiology (VIR) procedures, including:

Biopsies

CT- and ultrasound-guided drain placements and exchanges

Tunneled line placements (no removals)

Nephrostomy tube placements and exchanges

PleurX catheter placements

Practice Environment

On-site IR coverage

PACS: Visage 7

Procedure mix and daily volume may vary and can be discussed further during the interview process

Ideal Candidate

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology

Active or ability to obtain appropriate state licensure

Able to commit to 1–2 full weeks per month for a minimum of 6 months

Comfortable with independent procedural work in a hospital setting
