New Opportunity Located in Northern CA with Aya Locums: Neonatology NP

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for a Level IV NICU assignment at an academic facility in Northern California.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: April 2026
• Contract Length: 3 months
• Schedule: Nights, 5:30p–6:00a
• Coverage Needed: Full-time equivalent; 3x12s per week (4–5 shifts per month minimum availability required)

Work Details
• Patient Population: Neonates
• Department: Level IV NICU intensive care unit
• Clinical Focus: Care of extremely low birth weight infants, birth trauma, asphyxia, and infants requiring urgent surgical intervention
• ECMO: NNP will not manage ECMO patients
• Required Procedural Competency: Neonatal resuscitation, Intubation, Surfactant administration, Line placement (UAC, UVC, PAL, PICC), Needle thoracentesis, Chest tube insertion, Lumbar puncture, Exchange transfusion
• EMR: Epic

Practice Setting
• Academic / Training Hospital

Requirements
• Board Certification: Required
• Certifications: PALS and BLS (AHA required); NRP required
• State License: Active California license required
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required
