Neonatal Nurse Practitioner needed in West Virginia

Start Date: 1/6/2026
Contract Length: Through July 2026
Shift Details: Scheduled + No call
Schedule: 12 and 24 hour shifts (12 hour shifts would be 7PM shifts) **in evenings the on call sleep room is only available between 11p-5a and only if the floor is slowed down**
Work Details:
· Support staff: Neonatologist/NNP/NICU Fellow/Residents/SW
· Amount of coverage needed per month: ***Must commit to a Minimum of 6-8 Shifts per mo through July 2026
· Patient population/age: Neonates
· Department description: NEONATES-Level 3 NICU 36 bed unit. 20 single family rooms with 8 doubles. We care for all gestations/peds surgery/etc. We also provide Therapeutic Hypothermia tx to HIE patients. We do not do ECMO or cardiac surgery however, we stabilize and transfer those patients. Patient load varies depending on day, Try to care for 10 or less however this can be higher in higher census and acuity. We care for all neonates 23 weeks to term. Pediatric surgery. Intubation/line placements (UAC/PICC etc) Medical team rounds together daily in am. The NNP completes assessments and notes daily. This does include TPN calculations/feeding calculations/etc
· EMR: Cerner
· Hospital bed size: 36
· Skills required: LP Punctures, Intubations/Line Placements (arterial/UAC/UVC/PICC), Pleural air removal, Arterial sticks
Requirements:
· License required: WV RN License, Advance Practice recognized by WV State Board of Registered Professional Nurse
· Certifications required: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification, NRP, CP
· Minimum experience required: 3-5 years
