POSITION OVERVIEW
A permanent opportunity is available for an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or an experienced NICU-trained Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing neonatal care team in Brooksville, Florida.
Candidates must have current, hands-on NICU experience beyond training.
PRACTICE & UNIT DETAILS
NICU Level: Level III
Unit Size: 20 beds
Average Daily Census: 12–20 patients
Annual Deliveries: ~1,600
Support:
On-site Neonatologist coverage
Maternal–Fetal Medicine (MFM) support
Access to multiple pediatric subspecialties
SCHEDULE & COVERAGE
Shift Length:
Primarily 16-hour shifts
24-hour shifts may be introduced as the unit continues to grow
Weekends: Varies based on shift structure
On Call: None
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
NEONATAL NURSE PRACTITIONER (NNP)
Master’s degree or higher – Required
Board Certified APRN with NNP specialty certification only
FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications are not accepted
Minimum 2+ years of current NNP experience in a NICU
Experience as an RN or during training does not qualify
Florida license (or willingness to obtain)
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA)
Master’s degree – Required
Board Certified through NCCPA
Minimum 2+ years of current NICU PA experience
Training experience does not qualify
Completion of a Neonatal PA training program – Highly Preferred
Florida license (or willingness to obtain)

NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required
