Full-Time Pediatrician Needed | Outpatient + Light Rounding | Long-Term Assignment | Mississippi

Job description

A pediatric clinic in Mississippi is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician for an ongoing, full-time locum assignment. This opportunity includes a blend of outpatient care and light hospital rounding with the option to transition into a permanent role if desired.

Assignment Details:

📅 Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM

Light hospital rounds 8:00 AM–9:00 AM daily (same campus)

Fridays may end early based on patient volume (7:00 AM–12:00 PM typical)
📞 Call: 1 weekday per week
📈 Volume: 28–30 patients per day (higher volume optional if preferred)
🧒 Ages: Newborn to 26 years old (majority under 2 years; rare above 18)
📋 Duties: Primarily well visits and sick checks
💻 EMR: Standard office-based system
📄 Requirements: BC/BE in Pediatrics, Active MS license preferred
🕒 Credentialing: 30–45 days (faster if Medicare/Medicaid paneled)
🏥 Setting: Outpatient with morning hospital rounds
🚗 Travel & Lodging: May be considered; preference for local MS-based providers
