Job Title: Locum Pediatrics - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

Board Status: Eligible

Responsibilities:
Provide specialized medical care to newborns, premature infants, and infants with medical complexities in the neonatal-perinatal unit.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Perform thorough medical evaluations, assessments, and examinations of neonatal patients.
Develop and implement treatment plans, making necessary adjustments based on patient progress and response.
Interpret medical imaging and laboratory results to aid in diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Effectively communicate with families, providing them with information, updates, and emotional support regarding their infant's medical condition.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) using the Epic system.
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Participate in on-call coverage as specified, providing consultation and guidance to medical staff when needed.

Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
Board eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Missouri.
Strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Epic.
Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions in fast-paced and critical situations.
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor when interacting with patients and their families.
