Job description

The Advanced Practice Practitioner, Neurosurgery, is responsible for providing health care to patients in the hospital and office setting.

The team will consist of four Neurosurgery APPs who will support the neurosurgeons by providing health care to patients in the hospital and clinic setting.
The APP responsibilities will include inpatient rounding, inpatient consults, ED consults, call coverage, providing support in the OR, and conducting follow-up visits in the clinic.

The APP should have Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
Thorough knowledge of patient triage, diagnosis and evidenced-based care.
Knowledge in overcoming barriers from diagnosis to treatment including: financial/economic, language/culture, transportation issues.
Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
ANP, or PA licensed in the state of Texas. BSL

• Level 3 Trauma Center, in process of becoming a Level 2 Trauma Center
