About the clinician's workday
The physician associate will provide independent neurosurgical coverage during three 13-hour night shifts per week as part of 12-week maternity leave coverage from June through September. Essential responsibilities include managing 20-40 active neurosurgical patients per shift, completing up to 10 new consultations and 10 transfer center consults, and performing admissions with comprehensive history and physical examinations. The clinician must demonstrate competency in EVD placement, lumbar punctures, lumbar drain placement, and subdural drain placement while independently assessing diverse neurosurgical conditions including trauma, tumor, spine, functional, vascular, and pediatric cases. All candidates must maintain current full active New Hampshire licensure with APRNs holding FNP certification and board certification requirements.
