About the clinician's workday

The neurosurgeon will provide comprehensive 24-hour call coverage for neurological surgery services every weekend. Primary responsibilities include performing adult and trauma neurosurgery procedures such as tumor removal, brain bleed stoppage, trauma repair, shunt insertion or revision, cranial burr holes, intracranial pressure monitor insertion, diskectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion, and spine stabilization. The clinician must maintain board certification in neurological surgery and manage neurocritical conditions, ventricular procedures, and external ventricular drain management.
