About the clinician's workday

The position requires proficiency in various obstetric and gynecological procedures and cases, including vaginal delivery, cesarean section, operative vaginal delivery (vacuum preferred, forceps not required), suction dilation and curettage, hysterectomy, incision and drainage, laparoscopic salpingectomy, and oophorectomy. Obstetric responsibilities encompass low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, ultrasounds, and amniocentesis, while labor and delivery duties include routine and complicated deliveries, VBACs, and C-sections. In gynecology, the role involves performing GYN surgeries, office and minor procedures, and circumcisions. On average, there are 100 deliveries per month, with 7 labor and delivery beds available. The facility uses the Oracle Cerner EMR system.
