About the clinician's workday

The clinician will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services through 24-hour in-house call coverage managing midwife backup support as scheduled. Primary responsibilities include providing 1:2 midwife backup support, responding to OB/GYN emergency consultations, and managing labor and delivery cases when midwife capabilities are exceeded. The position requires continuous on-site availability during assigned call shifts with solo practice primarily, though extended contracts greater than one week allow for midwife primary call with locum providing backup support. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required along with prescriptive authority for comprehensive patient management.
