OBGYN Locums in the Outer Banks

Job description

Seeking a Board Certified OBGYN to provide locums coverage for a practice in the Outer Banks. New providers will need to come in the day before scheduled call for orientation. 

* Coverage needed:  As soon as credentialed – 6 months assignment
* Clinic Hours - Monday- Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm
* On Call- 7-10 days per month 7:00am-7:00am

***note***The locums provider will be sharing call with 3 other providers. Call starts at 7am. The locums will see patients in the clinic like the providers currently do. If they get a call they will leave the clinic and go upstairs (clinic is attached to the hospital) and the nurses will manage the schedule. Call ends at 7am the next morning.

Job Details:
* Both Inpatient & Outpatient- Clinic and call
* Call, Nights, & Weekends
* Average Total Inpatient Census: 3-4
* Average # of patients/day/provider: 15-18
* Average # admissions/1-2
* Average # admissions/night 2-3
* No ICU/Critical Care Duties
* LT responds to codes
* Procedures:  OB/GYN procedures if called to ER, C-sections and Vaginal deliveries
* NRP, BLS, ACLS required
* 24/7 pediatric hospitalist available
* Air and Ground Support to immediately transfer patients

Hospital Information:
* 26 Critical Bed Hospital w/ 6 designated psych beds
* 4 bed convenient care staffed by one APP and a RN or paramedic
* 3 OR
* Anesthesiologist
* Onsite Radiologist
* 24 hour Laboratory Availability
* EMR = EPIC
