Job description

ECU Health Chowan Hospital and ECU Health Women’s Care-Edenton, located in Edenton , North Carolina are seeking a BC OBGYN to provide hospital call coverage for their established practice.
Coverage Is Needed: As soon as credentialing ongoing during perm recruitment
OB call coverage 2 weekends per month from Fridays at 8 AM until Monday morning at 8 AM through 12Hospital privileges at ECU Health Chowan Hospital
25-bed hospital
100% inpatient clinical care
Provider must be comfortable with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
LT must respond to the hospital within 20 minutes
Low Volume Emergency Department (7 beds)
Epic EMR
No ICU responsibilities
LT will not respond to codes
ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support to immediately transfer patients when needed
Delivery volume per month is 28-34
If locum’s provider covers for more than 6 months they must obtain the following:
Current ALSO Certification
Evidence of completion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course within the last 2 years
Current NRP certification (required for ECU Health Community Hospital obstetricians) –/31/25

• OB call coverage 2 weekends per month from Fridays at 8 AM until Monday morning at 8 AM through 12/31/25
• Provider must be comfortable with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
