Job description
Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity offers competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a critical access facility.
Position Details
Role: Physician – Obstetrics/Gynecology
Location: North Carolina
Start Date: April 13, 2026
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Compensation: $160 – $200/hour
Schedule & Coverage
Shift Coverage: Scheduled shifts + On-Call required
Shift Schedule: Standard 5 shifts, 8-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00)

Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital
Collaborative environment with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive women’s healthcare across all stages of life.
Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and diagnostic procedures.
Perform surgical procedures (hysterectomies, cesarean sections, minimally invasive surgeries).
Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions.
Counsel patients on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.
Maintain accurate medical records and stay current with OB/GYN advancements.
Candidate Requirements
Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Training: Completed ACGME/AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency.
Certification: Board-certified (ABOG or AOA).
Licensure: Active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical or hospital-based OB/GYN practice preferred.
