OB/GYN Physician | Newport, RI

Job description

- Schedule: 4 outpatient days per week 3 in the office and 1 in the operating room
- Job Setting: Outpatient
- Dates needed: ASAP - September 2024
- Type of patients / cases / procedures required: General OBGYN with surgical experience, no robotics required
- Types of Cases: 4 outpatient days per week
- Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
- Board Certified
- Active state license

OBGYN call coverage:
- Weekday OBGYN call is a 24-hour shift – 8am to 8am
- Weekend OBGYN call is 48 hours – 8am Saturday to 8am Monday.
- May also be in clinic while on call at Newport. Newport Hospital does approximately 425-450 births per year. We would schedule a lighter clinic load and would shift that clinic load to other providers as needed depending on the activity on the Birthing Center at Newport Hospital. The Newport outpatient clinic located at Newport Hospital and is in proximity.

OBGYN Clinic:
- We have two locations, one in Newport RI and one in Portsmouth RI.
- Clinic coverage varies M-F
- Typically, 3 clinic days and one OR day
- We usually recommend that if they don’t have OR cases, we can open patient schedules.
- Clinic coverage is approximately 8-5pm. This allows for any patient rounding as needed in the AM. Patients typically start at 9am and end at 430pm.
