About the clinician's workday

We are seeking an OB hospitalist to support a very busy practice on a weekon, weekoff schedule beginning April 1, 2026. The primary responsibility is covering the employed provider, including OB deliveries, scheduled surgeries, Csections, and ED coverage. Because the employed provider has a high volume, the hospitalist can expect a consistently busy workload. Each shift provides 24hour coverage, with 12 hours restricted onsite and 12 hours nonrestricted, though physicians are likely to be called in overnight for deliveries. The facility averages 400 deliveries per year, typically more than one per day. A Texas license, DEA, and board certification are required, and the EMR used is Meditech.
