Our client in California is in need of a Locum NP Occupational Medicine
Job details:
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Ongoing
• 8a-5p (with a one hour lunch, no OT)
• Monday-Friday
• Patients per day: 10-20, likely no more than 10
• adults only
• EMR: Healthie
• Experience in urgent care, prescriptions, and wellness standards.
• The role will involve collaborating with other health professionals, such as remote mental health therapists and potentially, visiting internal experts.
• Case management: Managing ongoing employee injuries, illness, or wellness commitments, building relationships with employees to see their health and lifestyle holistically.
• Will also manage complex conditions when necessary, collaborating with the remote physician.
• Focus on Occupational Health: Provide employees with protocols and best practices within the workplace and provide advice for improving the worksite.
• General first aid and triage: Clean and assess wounds. Will make a call if the employee will need to be transferred to the ER.
• Monitor employees who are recovering at home and those with injuries or conditions that need regular monitoring at the workplace.
• Prescribe and administer medications: Prescribe and administer medications following all regulations.
• Wellness program management: Provide employees with educational materials (handouts) on how to prevent injuries in the workplace, stop the spread of COVID, preventative measures, etc.

Job Requirements:
• Board Certified
• CA License
• DEA
• BLS; CPR
• Minimum 1 year f experience
