High-acuity ER coverage at a Level I academic trauma center
12-hour night shifts with consistent weekly scheduling
Hands-on procedural role with complex injury management

This locum tenens opportunity is built for a PA with strong surgical and trauma experience looking to stay sharp in a high-volume, hands-on environment.

Schedule
3x12s, night shifts (7p–7a)
Ideally Thurs–Sun coverage
Ongoing 6-month assignment

Clinical Details
Level I trauma center setting
ER-based hand surgery coverage
EMR: Epic

Scope of Work
Evaluate and manage acute hand injuries in the ER
Perform procedures including fracture reductions, wound debridement, and revisions
Assist with complex cases including amputations and surgical interventions
Provide stabilization and procedural care in a fast-paced trauma environment

Procedures Include
Fracture reductions (finger/distal radius)
Wound and tissue debridement
Hematoma blocks
Amputation revisions
Closed reductions and splinting

Support
Academic hospital environment
Collaborative surgical and ER teams

Requirements
PA certification
Active California license
Strong surgical/trauma experience required
