The facility provides comprehensive orthopedic surgical services encompassing clinic, operating room, and emergency room coverage. The hospital requires locum tenens orthopedic surgeons with the capability to perform total joint replacements and a range of upper and lower extremity procedures.

About the clinician's workday

The orthopedic surgeon will provide clinic and call coverage at a Level 3 hospital, with scheduled coverage from June 23 at 0700 through June 26 at 0700, July 3 at 0700 through July 15 at 0700, and on an ongoing basis thereafter. The clinician must be capable of performing total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, as well as hand, wrist, knee, ankle, and foot surgeries. Board certification in orthopedic surgery is required, and the clinician must hold an active Iowa license or an active IMLC Letter of Qualification prior to the assignment start date.
