Job Title: Locum Physician Orthopedic Surgery
Location: Watertown, WI
Practice Setting: Inpatient
Board Status: Certified
EMR: Medi Tech
Coverage Type: Call Only

Key Responsibilities:
Provide orthopedic surgical expertise on a locum basis, primarily through on-call coverage.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions and injuries.
Perform surgical procedures, including joint replacements, fracture repairs, and soft tissue repairs, as needed.
Collaborate with the medical team, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Evaluate patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records using the Medi Tech EMR system.
Participate in patient rounds, consultations, and case discussions with colleagues.
Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Provide excellent communication and education to patients and their families regarding treatment options and postoperative care.
Stay current with the latest developments in orthopedic surgery through continuous medical education.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Wisconsin.
DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration.
Proven experience in orthopedic surgery.
Familiarity with the Medi Tech electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and safety.
Availability for on-call coverage as needed.
