The hospital maintains a trauma level III designation and provides comprehensive orthopedic services with daily OR access, medical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services. The facility supports an average daily census of 230-250 patients and utilizes the Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management.

About the clinician's workday

The orthopedic trauma surgeon will provide 24-hour inpatient coverage for trauma level III cases at both Davenport and Silvis campuses, working 7-10 shifts per month. Responsibilities include managing all orthopedic traumas and same-day surgical add-ons with daily OR access availability. The position requires board certification and involves working within a 500-bed hospital system with an average daily census of 230-250 patients. The clinician will work collaboratively with 8 physicians across various orthopedic subspecialties and 8 advanced practice providers, with full nursing and APP support available in the operating room.
