Pediatric Cardiac ICU APP – New Haven, CT

Job description

Join a nationally recognized hospital in New Haven, CT, as an APP in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU. Provide advanced care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients in a collaborative, high-acuity setting.

Position Details:
* Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts per week (6p–6a)
* Preferred: Tuesday–Thursday nights with 1–2 weekends per month (flexible)
* Patient Load: Typically 5–6 patients; 10–12 on surgical days
* Support: Attending and fellow present overnight; full hospital support
* EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities and Skills:
* Manage pediatric cardiac ICU patients in collaboration with surgeons and intensivists
* Perform procedures including central line placement, intubation, and arterial line insertion
* Experience with pacer wires preferred but not required
* Participate in bedside rounds and multidisciplinary care coordination
