Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Per-Diem Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at a medical center in Selma, AL. This role offers flexible scheduling, immediate access to open shifts, and the chance to work with a skilled perioperative recovery team.

✅ Qualifications
✔️ Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
✔️ Active, unencumbered Alabama RN License
✔️ Minimum of 6 months RN work experience
✔️ CPR Certification (BLS preferred)
✔️ Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, cultural competency, adaptability, and positive attitude
✔️ Credentialing Requirements: Clean background check, negative TB test, annual physical, COVID-19 vaccination, and other facility/agency requirements
✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Provide vigilant post-anesthesia care, monitoring vital signs, airway, and neurological status
✔️ Assess and manage postoperative pain, nausea, and complications, administering medications and interventions per protocols
✔️ Evaluate patient readiness for discharge from PACU using standardized scoring systems (e.g., Aldrete Score)
✔️ Deliver comprehensive handoff to the receiving nursing unit or discharge team, including procedure, recovery, and ongoing care needs
✔️ Provide clear, supportive discharge education to patients and caregivers regarding postoperative instructions, medications, and warning signs
