Job Title: Locum – Physician - Pediatric Hospitalist
Location: Tennessee
Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team in Tennessee. As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients in the Nursery and Pediatric Floor. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and perform necessary procedures. Please note that this position does not involve attending births or performing circumcisions.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct multidisciplinary rounds and provide medical care to patients in the Nursery and Pediatric Floor.
• Perform periodic lumbar punctures in the Nursery or Pediatric Floor as required.
• Manage an average of 4-5 new baby admissions and 1-2 pediatric admissions per night shift.
• Respond to patient calls, the frequency of which may vary depending on patient acuity and season.
• Work independently as the sole provider during a shift.
• Adhere to established shift schedule of 24-hour shifts with rest provided at night. No back-to-back 24-hour shifts.

Shift Schedule:
• 24-hour shifts: 7:00 am to 7:00 am
• Shift options: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Back-to-back shifts can be accommodated if desired.
Credentials and Certifications Required:
• Tennessee state medical license
• Board certification in Pediatrics
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Submission Requirements:
• Valid Tennessee medical license
• Clean background check and malpractice history (obtain approval from MSP coordinator for any past malpractice history before submission)
• Board certification in Pediatrics
