Full-time Pediatric Hospitalist / Medical Director
Seeking a full-time Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist to serve as Medical Director for a hospitalist practice in California, offering an exceptional opportunity to provide newborn care, emergency consults, and pediatric admissions in a semi-rural community near the coast.
Shift(s) Description:Twelve 24-hour shifts per month

Job Description:
Serve as Medical Director for the pediatric hospitalist practice
Provide coverage for high-risk deliveries
Conduct emergency room consults involving pediatric patients
Manage pediatric admissions of low acuity cases
Provide well newborn care at the hospital
Collaborate with an affiliated Level-III NICU for newborns requiring intensive NICU care (transport coordination)
Work a full-time schedule consisting of twelve 24-hour shifts per month with on-call responsibilities from home
Support a hospital with approximately 500 deliveries annually

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required

Current in-patient hospital experience required
Board Certified (BC) Pediatrician is required
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary range: $190,000 - $230,000 plus a director stipend

Requirements:
Board Certification in Pediatrics (BC Pediatrician) – [REQUIRED] *no exemptions
Medical license for CA or willingness to obtain – [REQUIRED]

Clean malpractice and license history – [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
