Job Title: Locum Physician- Surgery Pediatric
Location: Missoula, MT 59804
EMR: Cerner
Practice Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient
Coverage Type: Call Only

Key Responsibilities:
Provide surgical consultations, evaluations, and treatment plans for pediatric patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Perform surgical procedures according to established guidelines and best practices, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, anesthesiologists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Participate in on-call rotations to provide urgent surgical consultations and interventions for patients in need.
Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and surgical procedures accurately and promptly in the EMR system (Cerner).
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure they are well-informed about treatment options and post-operative care instructions.
Contribute to the ongoing quality improvement initiatives of the surgical department, actively participating in case reviews and performance assessments.
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
Board certification in Pediatric Surgery.
Valid medical license to practice in the state of Montana.
Proven experience in performing pediatric surgical procedures.
Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Cerner.
