Location: Galax, Virginia. Located in southwestern Virginia, near the North Carolina border. A smaller city that features lots to do, including hiking, kayaking, canoeing and historic sites. About an hour and a half southwest of Roanoke and an hour northwest of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Facility: A 141-bed facility that includes acute care, ambulatory care and emergency services. It is considered a rural hospital that serves a large Medicare population, as well as, a total population of approximately 60,000. They operate within a 100-mile radius. Opportunity: Locums Inpatient Pediatric Call Coverage Needed in Virginia * Dates Requested: May 26-31, 2023 * Schedule: 24 hour call only coverage * Paid travel and lodging * Averages Per 24 Hours: Phone Consults- 3-4, Patients Seen- 1-2. Call Back Percentage: 10% * EMR: paragon * 10 beds in department * Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 2 weeks * Active VA license; BC/BE Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
