Crisis Care Specialist in KS

Job description

Our County Mental Health Center is seeking a Crisis Care Specialist to join our team. This position will access or create community resources for individuals in psychiatric crisis, regardless of the hour. It is meant to help community members find and utilize caregivers, natural resources, created resources, caregiving facilities, etc. to improve their quality of life and, especially, to help guide them towards the least restrictive psychiatric placement.

Key responsibilities:
Assist clients to find employment opportunities that are consistent with their vocational goals by identifying individualized information regarding entitlements/benefits, strengths, and preferences.
Will meet with hiring managers and attend job fairs to learn about various jobs in the community.
Provide support to assist clients in maintaining employment once a position has been secured.
Provide education and negotiate job accommodations as needed.
Attend team meetings for case managers and QMHP’s.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelors degree from accredited university in behavioral health fields such as: clinical psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, rehabilitation, or closely related degree is preferred.
Must have valid driver’s license and ability to move freely around the community.
Must be able to meet productivity standards and documentation requirements.

Salary: $14.42 per hour

Schedule: Part-time
