Job Title: Locum Physician Psychiatry - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Location: Kennesaw, GA
EMR: Epic
Board Status: Certified and Eligible
Practice Setting: Outpatient
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care: Provide expert psychiatric evaluation and treatment to children and adolescents suffering from a wide range of behavioural and emotional disorders. Assess and diagnose patients, develop treatment plans, and offer ongoing therapeutic support.
Medication Management: Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications when necessary, in accordance with best clinical practices and guidelines.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care.
Documentation: Utilize the Epic EMR system for accurate and timely documentation of patient visits, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies for managing psychiatric conditions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, as well as our clinic's policies and procedures.
Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) and active Georgia medical license.
Board Certification in Psychiatry, with additional certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Certified and Eligible status with the relevant medical boards.
Proven experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency with Epic EMR system preferred.
