Inpatient Psychiatrist- NEW YORK

Job description

• Board Certified is preferred but not required
• Coverage for 6 months starting 10/17 with the option to extend
• Child and Adolescent Unit Preferred but 100% Adult Unit works too
• Monday - Friday Full Time Coverage with Call
• On call schedule : 1:4 weeknights and weekends - this is negotiable as well
• 100% Inpatient
• Adult Unit is 18 bed with census of 11 and average caseload of 9-12
• Child/Adolescent Unit census of 8 and average caseload of 4-8
• Weeknight call averages 3-4 calls and weekend call does rounding both days for 2-4 hours per day
• The team consists of psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, mental health technicians

• We will cover malpractice insurance
• We can cover your travel and lodging
