Pediatric Pulmonologist needed in Illinois

Position Details:
Specialty: Pediatric Pulmonology

Location: Chicago, IL

Start Date: ASAP (upon credentialing, ~90–115 days post-offer)

Contract Length: 6 months

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8s)

Setting: Split between outpatient clinic and inpatient consults (approx. 10 hrs/week outpatient, 30 hrs/week inpatient)

Call: Weeknight and weekend call required (callback is extremely rare: 0–4 times/year; no phone call volume)

Interview Process: Preliminary video interview with Chair/Vice Chair, followed by an in-person visit for non-local candidates

Work Environment:
Coverage Needed: Full-time, 4 weeks/month

Patients per Day: 8–10 (outpatient); 1–4 (inpatient – mostly step-down from PICU)

Patient Population: Pediatric

EMR: Epic

Hospital Bed Size: 671

Requirements:
Board Certification: BC in Pediatric Pulmonology (ABP)

License: IL license or IMLC required (due to urgency)

Experience: Minimum 2 years

Certifications: BLS, PALS

DEA & CSR: Required
