Locum Orthopedic Surgeon Needed in Delaware

Job description

• Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery
• Bill Rate 24hr call: $Daily pay with 4hr Gratis included & Call back rate
• EMR system: EPIC
• Reason for Coverage: Departure of sports med/shoulder/joint surgeon
• FTE or Shifts per month needed: Around 6/month currently.
• Inpatient, Outpatient or both: Inpatient call coverage
• Target start date and Length of need: ASAP, Length depends on need and dynamics of group.
• Locums Shift Schedule: 7a-7a
• Call Schedule and Call Responsibilities: Weekdays and Weekends, 1st call by APC, go in as needed, part of trauma call team
• Type of patients / cases / procedures required: Typical orthopedic surgical care.
• Patient Encounters per shift: Variable
• Trauma level 1
• Available support staff: Normal hospital support for ED / Trauma. RN, RNFA, APC
• Certifications required (Board Certification/Truly Board Eligible or life support, etc.): Board Certification Required
• Vaccination Requirements: Annual Influenza, or mask
• Miscellaneous Information: Current group splits monthly call with 2 employed and 2 private physicians. Departure of one surgeon left a 6d/month gap. This is exacerbated by vacations/illness. We have a hospitalist APC daily and on weekends. They round and cover 1st call. "
