Assignment Overview

Private practice urgent care seeking an experienced APP to join a high-volume setting. This role requires strong independent clinical judgment, excellent procedural skills, and exceptional patient-facing professionalism.

Provider Requirements

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Must have prior Emergency Department or Urgent Care experience

Active BLS certification (AHA)

Comfortable practicing independently with no physician onsite

Strong clinical decision-making skills

Excellent bedside manner and patient experience focus

Clinical Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage urgent care presentations

Perform procedures including:

Laceration repairs

Incision and drainage of abscesses

Toenail removals

Manage high patient volume efficiently while maintaining quality of care

Schedule & Coverage

Full-time: 3 x 12-hour shifts

Day shifts: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Facility open 7 days per week

Schedule varies week to week

Weekend availability required

No call responsibilities

Patient Volume

January and February are peak months

Approximately 40 patients per day

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Trial Period

Two-week onsite trial working with Dr. Flynn to ensure mutual fit prior to long-term commitment

Practice Environment

Private practice setting

APPs make all medical decisions while on shift

No physician physically present at the location
