Urgent Care FNP needed in Maryland. Multiple locations open. Can you help?

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Family Practice (FP) provider with a strong background in urgent care to join our Maryland team. This is a PRN opportunity with multiple clinic locations offering flexibility, a supportive environment, and a steady patient flow.

As an FNP in our urgent care centers, you’ll deliver comprehensive care to patients ages 2 and older, performing a wide range of procedures and managing a variety of acute and non-emergent conditions.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality urgent care to patients ages 2+

Perform routine procedures including:

Incision & Drainage (I&D) of abscesses and/or paronychia

Suturing and digital nerve blocks

Pelvic exams

Ingrown toenail and nail removals

Silver nitrate and electrocautery treatments

Tick and burn treatments (first–third degree)

Fluorescein stain and Wood’s lamp exams

Manipulation of dislocated joints

EKG and radiology interpretation (with radiologist over-read)

Epistaxis control

Conduct physicals and COVID testing

Document visits and procedures in Experity (VelociDoc) EMR

Practice Details

Patient Volume: 20–40 patients per 12-hour shift (average 3–4/hour)

Support Staff: Medical Assistants (some clinics also have RNs or LPNs)

Provider Coverage: Solo provider on-site

Requirements

Active FNP or FP License (Maryland or compact state eligible)

Minimum 1–2 years of Urgent Care experience required

Active DEA and BLS certification

Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
