Express Care NP/PA – Locum Tenens – Hancock, MI

Job description

A well-established health system in the Hancock, Michigan area is seeking an Express Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula.

Position Details:
- Sole provider role in an outpatient express care clinic with dedicated support staff (1 MA, 1 receptionist)
- Coverage needed at two clinic locations in the Houghton/Calumet area
- Multiple blocks of coverage available from April through June 2026, with ongoing need due to position vacancy
- Schedule: 7 days a week coverage blocks
- Average patient volume: 14-28 patients per day
- EMR: Athena
- Onsite orientation required prior to first block of assigned shifts

Requirements:
- Board certified NP or PA
- Active Michigan license, MI Controlled Substance License, and MI DEA
- Active BLS certification
- Clinical experience within the last 12 months, or completion of an accredited NP or PA educational program within the last 12 months

Travel and housing assistance available. Temporary privileges may be granted as needed.
