NP - Urgent Care - Locum Tenens - Wilmington, NC Area

Job description

A multi-site urgent care provider in the Wilmington/Leland, NC area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for an Urgent Care locum tenens opportunity. Local candidates only.

Position Details:
- Specialty: Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care
- Practice Setting: Outpatient urgent care center
- Patient Volume: up to 60 patients per day (average ~40 PPD)
- Patient Ages: Adults and pediatrics (6 months and up)
- EMR: Epic (modified training schedule available)
- Schedule: Full-time hours including throughout the summer
- Procedures: I&D, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other minor procedures
- Provider will see and treat all patients as sole provider in the center
- Support Staff: Center Manager, MA, PSA, and offsite Supervising Physician
- No call required

Requirements:
- Family NP Board Certification required
- 12 months minimum experience (no new grads)
- BLS required
- NC DEA required
- Local candidates only - reimbursement up to 60 miles (30 miles each way)

Interview Process:
- Clinical screening required
- EMR training and onboarding prior to first solo shift
- Training occurs on set Wednesdays - must be available

Travel: Mileage only, not eligible for travel reimbursement.
