NP/PA Urgent Care - Locum Tenens - Lumberton, NC Area

Job description

A well-established Urgent Care organization in the Lumberton, NC area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for ongoing locum tenens coverage. Local candidates only — the practice reimburses mileage up to 60 miles round trip (30 miles each way). Provider must commit to full-time hours and consistent shift coverage.

Setting & Caseload: Outpatient Urgent Care Center, single-provider model with on-site support staff (Center Manager, MA, PSA) and an offsite Supervising Physician for APP coverage. Average census is approximately 40 patients per day (up to 60 PPD). Cases include the full urgent care spectrum for both adults and pediatric patients ages 6 months and up. Procedures include I&D, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other minor procedures. Charting is in Epic — a modified training schedule is provided.

Requirements: Active state licensure, NCCPA or AANP/ANCC board certification, current BLS, and active NC DEA. Minimum 12 months of clinical experience treating adults and pediatrics. New graduates not considered. Provider must pass a clinical screening and complete required EMR training on designated Wednesdays prior to first solo shift. No call required.

Interview Process: Clinical screening, followed by EMR training and onboarding before first solo shift. Training participation is required.
