NP/PA Urgent Care - Locum Tenens - Lumberton, NC Area

Job description

A well-established regional urgent care group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a local locum tenens opportunity in the Lumberton, NC area. This is a busy outpatient urgent care center serving adults and pediatric patients (6 months and up), with patient volumes typically averaging 40 PPD (up to 60 PPD at some sites).

The successful candidate will function as the sole provider in the center, working alongside a Center Manager, Medical Assistant, and Patient Service Associate, with offsite supervising physician support for APPs. Procedures include I&D, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other minor procedures. Epic EMR is used for all visits; modified training will be provided. Strong soft skills and the ability to handle high patient volumes while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude are essential.

Requirements: Board Certification (NCCPA or Family NP), BLS, NC DEA, and a minimum of 12 months of clinical experience. New graduates will not be considered. Candidates must be local — mileage reimbursement is provided up to 60 miles round trip (30 miles each way); travel and lodging are not eligible. After bid vetting, a clinical screening interview is required, followed by EMR training (held on set Wednesdays) prior to first solo shift.
