Job Overview.
Job Title: Nurse Practitioner – Urology
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our established Urology practice. This is a full-time, hospital-owned outpatient position focused on providing high-quality urologic care. You will work alongside an experienced Urology surgeon, supported by a robust team of LPNs, medical assistants, and clerical staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
Clinical Care: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans.
Surgical Support: Assist in urologic surgeries and various office-based procedures.
Diagnostic Management: Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
Patient Advocacy: Provide vital education to patients and families regarding diagnoses and post-operative care.
Collaboration: Coordinate closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure seamless departmental operations.
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION.
Salary Range: $115,000 – $135,000 annually (based on experience and education).
Schedule: Full-time (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week).
Work-Life Balance: Daytime hours only; no weekends and no holidays.
REQUIREMENTS.
Education: Master’s degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program.
Licensure: Active Vermont APRN License and DEA License.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in Urology.
Certification: Healthcare Provider CPR Certification and ANCC certification.
Commute: Must live within a 1-hour commute of the practice.
Compliance: Ability to be credentialed by the Medical Staff; must provide a recent NPDB Self-Query Report.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT.
Standard clinical environment with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (OSHA Category I).
Physical tasks include sitting for 2/3 of the day, with occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Manual dexterity required for clinical documentation and patient handling.
